At Wellers Hill Medical Centre, our doctors rely on scheduled appointments as their primary source of income. Missed appointments or late cancellations prevent other patients from accessing care and directly impact our practitioners.

To ensure fairness to both our doctors and patients, the following policy applies:

Appointment Cancellations

• We require a minimum of 1 hour’s notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

• Cancellations made with less than 1 hour’s notice, or failure to attend an appointment, will incur a $50 + GST non-attendance fee.

First Occurrence

• On the first occasion of a missed appointment or late cancellation, a warning letter will be issued.

• No fee will be charged for the first occurrence.

• Any subsequent late cancellations or non-attendances will incur the $50 + GST fee.

Outstanding Fees

• If a non-attendance fee remains unpaid, no further appointments can be booked until the outstanding balance has been settled.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. This policy ensures our doctors are fairly compensated for their time and that appointment availability remains accessible for all patients.
