Making Appointments at Wellers Hill Medical Centre
Please read the following information to ensure a smooth appointment experience

A standard appointment is for a singular issue
Multiple or complex issues require a longer appointment or you may be asked to reschedule, please check with reception when booking if you have multiple or a complex issue.
Scripts and Referrals
All scripts and referrals require an appointment. Should the doctor agree to provide a script or referral without a consultation a fee of $20 will be charged (not claimable from Medicare). Please note: this is always at the doctor's discretion and not a patient choice. Please also ensure your referral is up to date (check with your specialist) as it is illegal to back date referrals.
Consultations will not be interrupted unless the situation is considered URGENT. A message can be left with reception and the doctor will return your call when possible. At all times, an appointment is the best option.
Recall (Reminder) System
The Wellers Hill Medical practice is committed to preventative care. With your permission you may be included on our reminder system which will offer you preventative health services appropriate to your care.
A fee will apply if you neglect to cancel your appointment
After Hours Care
Outside of our normal opening hours our patients can access our fully accredited deputising service - HOME DOCTOR SERVICE - 13SICK (137 425)
Fees and Billing Arangements

Our practice bulk bills all pension concession cards, DVA gold cards and children under 13 years old, strictly Monday to Friday 9 am - 6 pm.
- Appointments outside these hours will incur our Standard consultation rates.
- Bulk billing of patients outside of these categories is at the doctor's discretion.
Standard Consultation Fee
Our standard consultation fee applies from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, see Bulk billing for concession rates.
Standard Consult - $75.00 (Medicare Rebate $38.20)
Long Consult - $120.00 (Medicare Rebate $73.95)
New Patient Consult - $120.00 (Medicare Rebate $73.95)
Our Practice offers a concession rate for children 13 – 18 years and for Health Care Card holders – strictly Monday to Friday 9 am – 6 pm

Concession Standard Consult - $60.00 (Medicare Rebate $38.20)
Concession Long Consult - $105.00 (Medicare Rebate $73.95)
New Patient Concession - $105.00 (Medicare Rebate $73.95)
The Wellers Hill Medical Centre, is open from 8am until 12pm (or until required) on Saturday's.
There is no bulk billing services on Saturday's.
Saturday Standard Consult - $85.00 (Medicare Rebate $38.20)
Saturday Long Consult - $130.00 (Medicare Rebate $73.95)
The Wellers Hill Medical practice, as of 7th November 2016, will be CLOSED on Sundays and Public Holidays
Consultations involving procedures or minor surgery incur a facility fee. This facility fee is not claimable from Medicare. Our reception staff will advise you of the costs for the facility fee at the time.

The Wellers Hill Medical practice assists in providing teaching and clinical training of medical students from the University of Queensland, Griffith University and Bond University. Medical students will be observing appointments and procedures from time to time. You will be advised of their presence and if you would prefer them not to be present, please advise your doctor and they will leave the consultation.
