About Wellers Hill Medical Centre

Caring for our patients and the community since 1961

Wellers Hill Medical Centre was established by Dr. Nicholas Conomos in 1961. We are located in the leafy suburb of Tarragindi only 8km from the Brisbane CBD. In recent years, we have seen many new young families move into this area that was previously populated by elderly couples. Our practice has expanded to reflect these changes, and we currently have 8 female and 8 male practitioners with a broad spectrum of medical expertise to serve the health care needs of the community.

Our welcoming team of medical, nursing and administrative staff are continually striving to improve our overall care of our patients.

We have a modern purpose-built facility with state of the art equipment, which contributes to the comfort and excellent care of our patients. For their convenience, we also have onsite access to specialist doctors, pathology services and allied health services such as psychology, podiatry, exercise physiology, dietetics and audiology.

Dr David Wong | Geriatrician & Neurologist

Dr David Wong brings a unique mix as a dual specialist Geriatrician and Neurologist to patient care offered by Beach Brain.

Geriatricians are renowned for providing comprehensive care to our respected elders and Neurologists are adept artisans that address brain, spinal cord, nerve and muscle disorders that arise in the course of our lives. Both provide holistic and compassionate care in their respective arenas – Dr Wong is well positioned at its interface.

Dr Wong was born and raised in Brisbane, graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 and undertook his foundation training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, before pursuing specialist training in both Neurology and Geriatrics in various hospitals throughout South East Queensland and Townsville.

He has particular interests in Stroke, Movement Disorders, Headache and Cognitive Neurology.

Dr Shenaz Seedat | Endocrinologist

Dr Shenaz Seedat completed her Medical degree at The University of Queensland and then underwent Specialist training in Endocrinology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital, completing this in 2010. She had an established practice in Brisbane prior to relocating overseas in 2013, and has recommenced consulting at Greenslopes Private Hospital since her return in December 2020.

Having gained a wide range of up-to-date expertise while abroad, Dr Seedat is excited to consult in Brisbane again, offering the highest standard of care to her patients. She has extensive experience in a range of endocrine disorders, including continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy. She believes that optimisation of patient care results from individualisation and education, and actively involves her patients in their healthcare decisions.

Dr Seedat enjoys teaching medical students and junior medical staff. She also regularly provides endocrine presentations for medical professionals and is a member of the Endocrine Society (USA).
